State Representative Jon Hinck is a dynamic progressive leader, working to expand economic opportunity and reform our political system and make it more responsive to all citizens.

Hinck has spent his life as an advocate, teacher, and champion for working people. He co-founded Greenpeace USA, fought for commercial fishermen after the ExxonValdez oil spill, and helped secure a ban on MTBE in order to preserve Maine’s clean water. In the Legislature, he is a driving force for energy independence promoting clean, homegrown power and promoting efficiency to lower energy costs for Maine homes and businesses. Jon is a leading progressive voice on education, equality and economic opportunity, working to extend broadband infrastructure to rural Maine and supporting the creation of new jobs.

The traditional politics and policies that dominate Congress are not working. We can do better. Maine needs a strong voice to Washington and elect a Democrat who stands with working families and fights for the small businesses that sustain our economy.
